I stopped by to see the Tatsuno Castle ruins. This is a free facility. A must-see for history buffs. I asked the person in charge if the transom is the number one highlight. It depicts the old Tatsuno Castle and a fishing scene.

When I got to the entrance, I saw that admission was free, so I went inside. The atmosphere of the garden is very nice, as it feels like something out of a historical drama. When we entered, the person in charge gave us a detailed explanation and we were able to enjoy the atmosphere of the past. It's not very big and it doesn't take much time, so I highly recommend you visit.

You can open the old samurai residence and take a tour. Admission was free and I was very grateful to be able to see it. It was a quite splendid mansion with a detached house. The osmanthus in the garden was in full bloom and it smelled very nice.

It is said to be the only samurai residence open to the public in Harima's Little Kyoto Tatsuno townscape, which has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.

A former samurai residence that you can see for free. I was able to receive various explanations from the person in charge. It seems that someone actually lived there until about 20 years ago, and it has been maintained and opened to the public. It was a well worth seeing building with a splendid transom and an outbuilding that was a renovated storehouse, giving you a sense of history. Please stop by when you are sightseeing in Tatsuno.
