It was a beautiful castle, though it was renovated. It is still cool to be able to go up the castle. They have english captions on the displays. So it is a wonderful learning experience. I bought the ticket at the venue. There was no line. Maybe because it is a weekday and not so many people. There were schools having their field trip. Take note that it might get noisy.

Beautiful castle with the tower holding a museum mostly focused on the Odawara Hojo clan. Great views from the top floor of the castle. There's a combination ticket with the Samurai Gallery for ¥610 but they stop selling at 3.45pm

A nice sized castle is set in a park surrounding with a museum. The park itself is free to visit, but entrance to the castle has a fee. At the museum, one can dress up as a ninja or Samurai warrior for photo shoots. At night, the castle is lit up, and the illumination gives off a totally different appearance.

Beautiful castle on the outside. And a museum inside. Most documentatioms are in Japanese, no English or other languages. There is a lovely deck on top you see see the full area from top which is so beautiful.

Visited Odawura and this castle on our way to Hakone. It's not worth the visit. Everything is in Japanese inside the castle and museum. A museum is supposed to provide a historic context.... but if you can't read Japanese.. There is an app that you'd have to download to navigate the area. I didn't have space in my cell for another app. Communication is a challenge as the majority of staff don't speak another language.
