Feel cool even on summer time.

I came all the way by bus, even though the typhoon was likely to cause flooding. Looking at the muddy river in heavy rain I witnessed the horror of natural phenomena.

In order to prevent flooding, the hard Izumi sandstone of the Mesozoic Era of the Ishite River was carved into the shape of a lightning bolt on both sides of the river, a difficult task, and the flow was weakened by creating a zigzag pattern so that the floodwaters hit the rocks on both banks alternately at right angles. The red suspension bridge, rows of cherry blossom trees, and falling water from the waterway form a waterfall on the rough rock surface, creating an indescribably beautiful scenery. Although the cherry blossoms were past their peak today, it was a picturesque place.

There are nice views from the rock weir, the road behind Seven Dogo, and the promenade. Apparently there are fireflies too.
