Was it out of season? Is this a place you shouldn't go on a cloudy day? It didn't seem like a tourist spot. No maintenance done at all. Rather than a park, an appropriate description would be ``There are several reservoirs, a walking path has been built in the forest surrounding them, and there are about 5 small European-style buildings in different places'' (?) . The secret flower garden is also full of roses. This may be obvious, but there are a lot of insects. There's a strange smell in some places. It says it's a 20 minute walk from the bus stop, but it's an empty country road with no sidewalks and just barely enough space for two cars to pass, but there are plenty of cars passing by. The last bus on weekdays is 17:55. If you miss it, it's the last bus. There is no place where you can never get a taxi. Golden Park looks much prettier than this park.

I thought there was a place like this near Mito. This park was previously used as a filming location for Thermae Romae. There are several small dam lakes vertically, and there is also a forest, so I thought it would be a great place for a walk. There is also an ancient burial mound on the side, and I felt that it has always been a comfortable place to live. The greenery is deep and beautiful in midsummer, but I'd like to come back in the fall.

The Gongenyama side cave group, from which the park's name derives, is located inside a dam, so it was not possible to tour it. There should also be a group of ancient tombs within the park, but I didn't know much about them either. (^_^;) It would be nice if there was a guide board.

I think you can enjoy it if you go with your family. There was a large lawn, so children were running and playing, and some families were eating boxed lunches. I think it's good to look at small dams and beautiful flowers to keep your spirits up.
