If you want to climb to the top of Tsukui Castle, a mountain castle, be sure to prepare for the mountain climb, and sports shoes are required. There is a park from around the tourist center to a little above, so there are sidewalks that are easy to walk on, and there are many locals walking their dogs and families with children. You can see the lake and mountains from the halfway up observation area, so it's perfect for a break.

A road has been maintained up to the main enclosure. The slope is steep and there are some steps, so it's best to wear hiking shoes. It will take some time, so it's a good idea to have a water bottle and a hand towel.

I visited "Tsukui Castle" while touring castle ruins😄 Currently it is Tsukui Lake Shiroyama Park 😙 It is a very large park, and the entire mountain on the shore of Lake Tsukui is turned into a park. The castle 🏯 has a stone monument at the top of the mountain, and the ruins of the chief retainer's residence, Takaragaike, and Horikiri remain. It's quite a climb, so you'll need to dress appropriately.

There are several routes, some where you can take a walk and some with steep slopes, but they are all well maintained. The climbing route is roped and chained, but it's best to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. In addition, salt and first aid kits for mountain leeches are installed in several places. The view from the mountain is also great.
