Something I randomly stumbled upon, but I'm so glad I did, I met a local family here and they showed me if you clap and yell loud enough right next to the raccoon, water came pouring down. Was really awesome!

The raccoon was large and impressive. Water was coming out, but it was a shame that a part of it was broken and no water came out. I thought it would be really impressive if water came out of everything. I would like to go see the full version again once it is repaired.

The ``Kincho Tanuki Statue'', which is the largest in the prefecture, is located in the Tanuki Square. The area around the tanuki statue was characterized by a layout that symbolizes Japanese culture, including a rocky area with trees and a waterside. When I visited in the summer, I saw many killifish swimming lively in the water at the feet of the tanuki statue. At night, it seems to be illuminated by floodlights installed around it. The best part is the mechanism installed at the base of the raccoon statue, and if you clap your hands at the raccoon statue, you can enjoy a surprising performance. There are very few objects or monuments in the park that have such a large-scale construction, and it was a wonderful sight that everyone could enjoy.

Although it is located in the center of Komatsushima city center, it is located in a large, quiet and relaxing park. When you clap your hands in front of the powerful tanuki statue, which is said to be the largest tanuki statue in the world, water appears to flow from the waterfall above, but I had high hopes for it. No matter how many times I clapped my hands, there was no response. Although there are few stars There is a promenade around this park, and it is a perfect environment for walking and jogging. A variety of play equipment was also set up at the Komatsushima Station ruins next door, and even families with small children came here and there to relax. You can spend a comfortable and relaxing time here. When I read the signboard telling the story of Kincho Tanuki, my heart warmed, so I was glad to learn about this moving story. Across the road is a similarly large plot of land in front of it. There is Komatsushima Station Park SL Memorial Square.

Visited from Minami-Komatsushima Station by walking from the station. Visit after visiting Kincho Shrine. This park is full of raccoons. There are many raccoon statues around the park. And in the middle of the square is a giant Kincho Tanuki statue. Why is it so big? You won't be able to fully understand how huge it is until you actually go there. We recommend that you actually go there and experience it for yourself.
