Great museum with various historic buildings, staff tried to explain us lots of things in English too! We do speak a bit of Japanese but it was really appreciated. The website says there's too much to explore in one day but I think if you're used to walking a lot it's fine. It was very easily accessible by train and bus from Nagoya.

Recommended for people who like history, monuments, photography and nature It doesn’t matter if you don’t like to see monuments or museums. The buildings here are beautiful and special. The flowers, rivers and trees along the way are also very beautiful. Now the hydrangea is in full bloom in June. The whole park is very suitable for taking photos. I don’t like to take photos and walk around this suburb. It’s quiet and comfortable with few tourists. I especially recommend the small shop inside. The earrings and necklaces are cheap and exquisite. There are photo shooters, which are also distinctive and fun. There is a performance. If you can’t understand Japanese, you can go in and see the performance venue and the opening song and dance in the Meiji period. It’s very novel.

We visited on Monday and it was pretty empty! Underestimated the size of this open air museum! Paid 2500JPY/ pax. We arrived at 1pm and didn’t manage to view all of the sites. Suggest to get there early and enjoy the rest of your day. There is a train and also bus. Thought it’s more reasonable to pay for the bus that stops at various points. The train only stops at three stops. There’s a guided tour for 18 - the house. Last timing is 2pm so get there early.

Definitely worth a visit. Easy bus trip from Inuyama Station. The site is massive, with a few food and drink options. Train was not running.

Be sure to schedule a full day to enjoy what this place has to offer. Bring snacks too - while there are cafes and vending machines throughout the area, it'll be easier to relax and secure your seat since there are a lot of people exploring. Especially during the weekends! I suggest to start off with the farthest site- Frank Lloyd Wright's work on the Imperial Hotel. There's a cafe inside and lots of areas to explore. From there, one can spend about 10-12p minutes per site - some would have informative tours so keep your eyes peeled for their schedules! This place isn't that friendly for wheelchair access - the toilets are far too narrow but at least they are spread along the area for people to be comfortable. Some sites are properly cared for while some have been haphazardly painted for aesthetic reasons. Still, enjoy exploring the sites authentic place ha s a lot to offer.
