During our visit to Nagoya, we decided to explore the iconic Chubu Electric Power Mirai Tower, a landmark that towers proudly over the city. We timed our visit perfectly, arriving just as the sun was beginning to set, which allowed us to enjoy the transition of the city from day to night. The tower itself is an impressive sight, but what made the experience even more memorable was the setting of Hisaya Odori Park at its base. The park provides a peaceful, expansive green space right in the heart of the city, ideal for a leisurely stroll.
As dusk settled in, we continued our walk through the park, taking in the tranquil atmosphere. The evening was capped off with a visit to Ralph’s Coffee, located nearby. The cozy ambiance of the café, coupled with the stunning view of the illuminated Mirai Tower, made it the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The tower’s lights against the night sky were truly a sight to behold, creating a serene and picturesque end to our day in Nagoya.
Our experience at Mirai Tower and Hisaya Odori Park was a highlight of our trip, offering both a peaceful retreat and a stunning urban landmark. If you’re in Nagoya, I highly recommend visiting this area, especially at sunset, to fully appreciate the beauty of the tower and the surrounding park.

You can spend the time with someone..so beautiful to night..🫶

a tower with 3 deck (1 souvenir shop i.e. the lowest one, 1 indoor deck, 1 outdoor deck).
it is very beautiful inside and it feels more like a café rather than an observation deck. could spend a lot of time here.
you can view numerous attractions here, such as the Nagoya Castle, Hisaya-odori Park, Higashiyama Sky Tower, Nagoya Station Square Buildings
they have books, sofa, cushions and tables where you can take a break
there is even books here for you to read and relax
has free wifi and restroom
the 2 only downside is
- observation deck is quite small in comparison to other towers like Shibuya Sky and Tokyo Tower
- the tower isn't that tall. for example, Shibuya Sky allows one to feel its height by having all other buildings a lot shorter than it. but this one has an altitude similar or even lower than other buildings
but overall it is worth it, and i recommend paying this a visit
it opens around 19:00, and if you are one of the first visitors to go up (like me), you can enjoy a moment of peaceful in the sky
♿ wide gaps and spacious elevator, although you cannot visit the sky deck as stairs have to be taken
This is the symbol of Nagoya. Good for photo and video shooting. It is also a romantic place for couples to walk and sightseeing. I think walking at night is much prettier but day time also gives different vibes. Long story short, this is the spot to proves that you been to Nagoya lol.
I was genuinely surprised how good this tower is. There were good views from the top floors, but there was a very active cafe on the bottom and souvenir store as well.
It was also Sakura season, so the illuminations were amazing!!!
Definitely worth going there.
