The view from the observation deck was very nice. It takes about 30 minutes from Hasedera to Onnazaka, but I think it will take a little longer if you only do some walking. For shoes, we recommend shoes that can be used for trekking, etc., rather than sneakers.

The view from the observation deck was amazing! There is a table under the observation deck where you can take a break and eat while looking at the scenery ◎ Unfortunately, at the very end, the path split into left and right, making it difficult to tell which was the observation deck. The parent and child who were walking in front of us seemed to have gone off to the right and came back later... You'll feel safe if there's a sign on the left that says there's an observation deck. The direction of Enoshima and the Izu Peninsula was written on the observation deck, which was easy to understand.

During the Iiyama Cherry Blossom Festival (March 30th to April 7th in 2024), which is held in the plaza below Hasedera Temple, the parking lot will be closed, so you will have to climb up from the Hasedera parking lot on April 13th, one week after the Cherry Blossom Festival ends. I did. The Hasedera parking lot is about 115m above sea level, and the Hakusan Observation Deck is about 283m above sea level, so I thought the cherry blossoms would be in full bloom later due to the difference in elevation, but it seemed like it was a little later. To begin with, there are not as many cherry blossoms as Hasedera. I think Hasedera Temple blooms at the same time as the surrounding Yoshino cherry trees. It seems that you can park at the Iiyama Ground parking lot during the cherry blossom festival period, but since I had a toddler with me, I climbed up from the nearest parking lot. If it's Onna-zaka, I think even a 3-year-old will be able to climb up the slope while holding his hand and refusing his request to be held.

2024.2 I came up from the side of the Kannon-do hall of Hasedera Temple. Otokozaka has stairs and a strong slope. On the way back, I headed to Onna-zaka, which is an easy walk as it has a natural slope and almost no stairs. You can see the scenery of Tokyo and Yokohama clearly.
