Although Iwakku Cave has finished its role as a tourist destination, it is still open as the inner temple of Tenwa Kutsu Shrine, so you can still enter. However, it is not open to the public, so please visit at your own risk. When I visited, it was before the Autumn Festival, so the promenade was well-maintained, but I don't know if it would be outside of the festival, so I recommend that you come with equipment that allows you to enter the fields and mountains. (Lots of falling rocks, bad footing, lots of weeds)

I went to Iwakku Cave from the upper parking lot. The slope of the road going down to the limestone cave is steep. There was no grass growing, but the fallen leaves can be slippery after the rain, so be careful. I was sweating on the way home because I was wearing a winter riding jacket.

I don't have a trump card to say ❗️, but I recommend it for those who like forest bathing and photography when no one else is there. Unfortunately, the limestone cave is currently closed! ️

I was able to relax and enjoy the rich nature 👏 However, I couldn't find the entrance to the limestone cave😥

The road along the mountain stream was narrow, but well-maintained. There was a rocky wall that looked up, and a clear stream was flowing beneath it. There was no one left and it was quiet. The directions to Iwakutsu Cave, a limestone cave that has been closed since 2010, are confusing.
