Garou Waterfall

Fierce waterfall during rain, easy access from carpark, great Shirakami Sanchi casual visitor location

Prettiest spot in the area. Fantastic and worth a visit. There is a very rough road next to this waterfall that follows the stream and is really pretty. Worth a look also. The road that this is on (Route 317) is shut further up so this is the last accessible attraction on this stretch of road.

Nice place to visit

This is my favorite place to visit when I go back to my wife's parents' house. There is a parking lot, toilets, and vending machines. The basin of the waterfall is a little deep, but the area where it flows out into the river is safe even for small children. Even in the summer, just soaking your feet in the cold water will leave you feeling refreshed as you are bathed in negative ions. It is a power spot that will cleanse your soul.
