A common ticket for Minakuchi Castle Museum and Minakuchi History and Folklore Museum is 300 yen. The price is unbelievable. But I wish more people would come and see it for the same price. I think it is difficult to operate and maintain both museums, but I would like them to be preserved. This time I parked my car at the Minakuchi Castle Museum and walked to the History and Folklore Museum, which felt great.

I couldn't enter the museum, so I took a walk around the area. It was very quaint.

In May 2023, I went to see the Western sword rapier inside Minakuchi Castle.The replica was very detailed and beautiful.It is inside Minakuchi Castle, but the bridge at the entrance is starting to rot, so you can't pass through.It looks like it's closed, but the entrance is closed. If you pass by and turn left and go along the grounds of the adjacent school, you will find the entrance on the north side.The parking lot is also on the right side of the grounds.It is a depression, but it seems like it can park about 20 cars.You can park your car here and walk to the Minakuchi History and Folklore Museum. It's good. It's only 4-5 minutes. On the way, the Omi Railway runs through the town, so it's nice to walk, and it's nice to walk. 300 yen for a ticket for both museums is a bargain. You can see Okayama Minakuchi Castle from the window on the second floor, and it was built using stones from the castle's stone wall at the time.

Admission fee is 100 yen. You can take a tour inside. Since there was no one else there when I was there, the director kindly guided me around and explained the place. He also told me about a temple with beautiful autumn leaves around Mizuguchi. Thank you very much.

This is a small museum. It was 200 yen for adults including the nearby history museum. In principle, photography inside is prohibited, but miniature models may be photographed. You can thoroughly enjoy the history of this castle, which was not used for war, the role of the Kato family after the Aizu Kato domain, and its development as a post town from military needs on the Tokaido road. On the second floor, the locations and explanations of the nearby mountain and flat castle ruins are displayed, and you can see the Minakuchi Okayama Castle ruins. I had a pretty fun time. If we're going to turn it into a tourist spot, we'll have to highlight its appeal as a castle town and post town.
