A few minutes uphill from the Kanagawadai teahouse ruins is a stone monument marking the Kanmon ruins. It is said to have been established in 1859.

There is a guide board and monument for the ``Kanagawa-shuku Historical Path''. It seems that there was a barrier to Kanagawadai a little further west than here.

Found while walking on the old Tokaido road. After the port opened, barrier gates were built to the east and west of the inn to strengthen the Kanagawa inn's security system. On the west side is the Kanagawadai barrier. Nowadays, there is only a monument tucked away between the apartments, but nearby is Tanakaya, the Japanese restaurant where Oryo worked after Ryoma Sakamoto's death. It's a place with history.

A barrier was once built to the east and west of Kanagawa-shuku, and this is the site of the western barrier.

There used to be a checkpoint on the Tokaido road. Currently there are only explanatory signs and stone monuments.
