Yakamihime Park

This park is next to a shrine dedicated to Yagami Hime, the heroine of the myth ``The White Rabbit of Inaba,'' and behind a free parking lot and public restrooms. There are cherry blossom trees along the river, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing during the cherry blossom season. The story of Okuninushi no Mikoto and Yakami Hime is engraved on a stone monument in the park, similar to a picture-story show, but due to erosion from rain and other factors, the text was difficult to see. I visited during the cherry blossom season, so I think this was the season when the park looked its most beautiful.

Even if you come to Urinuma Shrine, it seems that you won't be able to see the picture-story show pictures on the natural stones in Yakami Hime Park.

There is a stone monument depicting the love story of Princess Yagami and Okuninushi no Mikoto, and you can walk through it in order. On the other side of the river is the Dake tumulus, and next door is Urinuma Shrine.

It was used as a parking lot for Honuma Shrine. There was a walking path in the park and the river was beautiful.
