Just cross the yellow bridge, you will arrive at the East quarter of the shrine. This is the more quiet and less visit part.

The ancillary shrine to the main attraction 300 metres around the corner. The overflow carpark is here, otherwise probably wouldn’t have come. Nice small walk up the steps to the wooden shrine, with some impressive gigantic trees a short distance behind the shrine.

While touring the shrines in Takachiho, I visited Amaniwato Shrine after Nishihongu Shrine. There are many tourists at Nishimoto Shrine, but there are not so many people here. Is it because you have to climb a lot of stone steps? Once you finish climbing, you will be out of breath 😅 The parking lot is not as big as Nishimotogu, but it is quite large. At a simple wooden shrine. I have visited the shrine several times, and it always leaves me with a bright and refreshing impression.

I visited Nishi Hongu → Tenyasu Kawara and then went to Higashi Hongu. I say it clearly. The Nishi Hongu shrine was flat, but the Higashi Hongu shrine was on stone steps, and after walking through the valley of Tenyasu River, these stone steps were tough. There are different goshuin stamps for the inner and outer shrines of Ise Jingu, but there is only one goshuin stamp for the west and east main shrines at Amanoiwato Shrine, so if you are just looking for a goshuin stamp, it is probably not worth it. The place where Amaterasu Omikami lived after leaving Iwato, I felt that the dignified presence was not only quieter than Nishimoto Shrine.
