This is a famous morning market in Okayama that is usually held on the first Sunday of every month. (Depending on the month, there may be events held other than the first Sunday, so it's best to do some research in advance) If you take the tram, it's about a 3 minute walk from Saidaijimachi station. (Note: The first tram departs after 6 o'clock) Doors open from 5am to 10am. For those arriving by car, they seem to be offering affiliated parking discounts (not sure if they are normally implemented). There seem to be two main areas: the riverside area and the side promenade area. Arrived after 8 o'clock on the day. I don't know if it's because of the early summer temperature or if it's like this normally, but when I arrived at the venue, I saw tents being removed, and after they were removed, tents with sold out signs were waving around. I think you can enjoy the morning market to the fullest if you arrive by 7 o'clock at the latest. Over the past 10 years, fashionable morning markets (marches) have been on the rise, but this Kyobashi morning market still has a miscellaneous Asian feel to it, ``in a good way.'' ・A shop with a strong festival feel ・A shop that offers carefully selected items ・A really organic shop that doesn't care about being fashionable. ・A restaurant with the atmosphere of a women's gathering seen at a local event ・Suburban antenna shop ・Challenge shop My impression is that the prices are generally low, and it's a relaxed atmosphere where you can barely wear your school jersey. There is a wide variety of shops, but there are also different types of customers. There was a wide variety of things to see, including a fresh-faced couple, an older woman working late at night, a group of elderly people (walking?), and people who had been drinking until the morning. It was a mixed bag, but I hope it continues with this atmosphere...it's such a wonderful morning market. (If you like Tooru Seino's manga, you'll enjoy A Different Horizon) Next time, I would like to try it early.

Bizen Okayama Kyobashi Morning Market First Sunday of every month from 05:00 to 10:00 Please use the paid Tenmaya Omotemachi parking lot, the paid Okayama prefectural office parking lot, and nearby coin parking lots. ⚠️Parking is prohibited in the parking meter parking lot. 2024.6.2 I left Tsuyama around 3 o'clock and went with three friends. It was my first time and it was their second time. We arrived safely around 4:30. There was already a nice smell in the air, and the shopkeepers were preparing to open their stores. First, go to the pork skewers. Super big!! ️Purchased for 800 yen each, and 3 people shared a bite. It's freshly baked so it's juicy and delicious💕 Next, we went to the very popular curry. There is always a long line here. I lined up around 4:40, and there were already over 20 people in line💦Perhaps because it was so early, there were still very few people in line. When you line up, it seems like you line up all the way to the bridge...💦 We ended up standing in line for an hour, and our turn came just as the night was starting to open. I bought one beef tendon curry for 500 yen and one for hormone curry for 500 yen, and the three of us ate it, and both were delicious💕There was a good amount of rice, and it was cheap! ️ No wonder there is a long line!! ️ Next up is the pork buns... there's a huge line up💦And they're steaming, so they're not making any progress💦I've given up on the pork buns. The popular yakitori...there was also a very long line. This seems a little impossible, so I give up. While I was wandering around, I found pickled mackerel in ochazuke!! ️There weren't that many lines so I bought two ✨️ Ochazuke is delicious🤤It soaks into your body...it's the best👍✨️ Found freshly fried lotus root croquette!! ️Eat freshly fried food on the spot and take out one lotus root croquette and one minced meat cutlet. The lotus root croquette was piping hot and melty, and the lotus root cubes were crunchy and delicious ✨️ We also bought cheap fresh flowers, roast beef sandwiches, pumpkin cake, cream daifuku, milk pudding, etc. Finally, I went back to the pork skewers and took one out. I was full and had a lot of fun✨️

Morning market held on the first Sunday of every month Kind of like the morning version of the night market? Basically, it’s a lot of delicious food, including kebabs, meat buns, croquettes... and even ramen and curry rice. There are also some stalls selling cheap fruits. This time I arrived around 7:30-40. Some stores have sold out, so you may have to come earlier if you want to buy something. In addition, you can take the streetcar from Okayama Station for 4 stops. It costs 140 yen per person (it costs 120 yen if you get off one stop earlier). You can think about it a little bit. Overall, it is a market that you can consider visiting if you can get up early and happen to be in Okayama. There is an AOBA ice cream shop next to it that will open early in conjunction with the morning market. If you want to experience eating ice cream and meat skewers early in the morning, you must try it. You can also buy some and eat them by the river. It feels very comfortable. If you want to go boating, there seems to be free trial activities, but if you haven’t participated in this part, you may want to do some research.

It is held early in the morning on the first Sunday of every month. There are over 100 shops lined up, and there are not only fresh local vegetables and fruits, but also a variety of restaurants, so it's fun to choose your favorite breakfast from among them. The popular shop is the yakitori and tofu donuts.
