Park your car in the parking lot of Yuki no Sato Park/Satoyama Visitor Center, walk a short distance, and cross the crosswalk at the push-button signal 🚥. The Petroleum World Museum has parking spaces only for people with disabilities 🅿️ Admission is free (*^^*)✊ Along with Kiyotsu Gorge and Hakkaisan, NHK's "Geo Japan" also introduced the history of oil in Akiba Ward, Niigata City (^_^)! There are many exhibits including models, materials, explanatory texts (*^^*) It's a facility where you can learn a lot about oil, the history of Akiba Ward, and Niigata/Japan/the Earth that you may know but don't know much about. There are many oil mining ruins in the area, so it's fun to learn about them here and then take a walk to look for them (^o^)✊

You can learn about the history of oil extraction and refining in Niigata. It's amazing that you can see so much content for free.

Japan's largest oil producer🇯🇵 This is a museum where you can learn about the Niitsu Oil Field. I enjoyed it 10 times more than I expected. When I got out of the car, there was a faint smell of petroleum❗️ (°▽°) Amazing

``Free'' ``Audio-visual materials on large screen'' ``Oil drilling equipment displayed by history'' This museum is located in Japan's largest oil field. In addition to the history of mining, there are exhibits about oil fields and distribution around the world. Video material will be shown at regular intervals in the Great Hall. There is a detailed model map of the oil field. [Free parking] Satoyama Visitor Center [Toilet] Available #letsguide #Japan's best

This museum is located in a corner of Oil Village Park. The history of oil extraction here, oil-related materials from around the world, methods of oil extraction, and ways to use oil are explained in an easy-to-understand manner using models, panels, and dioramas. It's located along the road, so it's easy to access and admission is free. There is a maple garden behind the facility, so during the season you can enjoy the autumn leaves from inside the facility. If you visit the park, it won't hurt to take a walk and then enter the park✨.
