Ukiha Yoshii's white-walled townscape. Although it is a difficult place to get to, it is a wonderful city where you can take a leisurely stroll. The main street has a clean appearance with no power lines. It is also full of delicious restaurants, sweets shops, and high-quality miscellaneous goods stores. It's a beloved city that I wish it would become more famous for, and that I wish it would remain as it is. It's a rich and attractive little-known town that once you've been there, you'll want to go again. If you haven't been yet, please give it a try.

I go every year during the Ohina-sama🎎 festival. This year, I went on a Sunday around mid-February. However, there were few people visiting. On the opposite side of the road from this point, Shirakabe Street is dotted with a variety of old and new shops with white walls. In addition to old-fashioned soy sauce shops and rice shops, there are also relatively new shops with renovated interiors, such as a bread shop, a general store, and a sweets shop, all of which are unique and attractive, making it a fun place to walk around. I feel like the more I come and get to know the place, the more I like it. It would be nice if more tourists came, but even if the store is introduced on TV or as a standalone store, it is never really promoted. They said on TV that there were a lot of foreign tourists, but there were hardly any. Hita's Hina Doll Festival used to be crowded with tourists, but lately it seems like there aren't many people there, which makes it a bit lonely.

It is a tourist attraction in Yoshii Town, and has been designated as an important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings due to its white-walled townscape. The walls are painted white with white plaster, and the gabled and gabled buildings are lined up in an orderly manner, creating a stunning landscape. Generally along National Route 210 and Prefectural Route 588 I think there are things to see around the Osaiyo River and the Shinnan River. Free parking is available in various locations.

Although the scale is small, you can walk through the townscape where the white walls have been preserved 🚶‍♂️ There are also stylish restaurants, so it might be a good idea to stop by the one you're interested in and take a look (^-^) #Walking around town #White walls #Ukiha City #Fukuoka Prefecture
