Located right at the randem station. It is a nice place to walk around and take some pictures at night after the kimono lamps are lit up, and it's not crowded at all. Downside is nothing is open at the time we visit around 8pm in Autumn.

We visited the Bamboo Forest a bit before sunset, so on our way back we ran into the Kimomo Forest as it was already lit and it attracted our attention! It was a really pretty sight! 👘🏮

Located inside the Randen Arashiyama station, it is one of the instagrammable attractions in Arashiyama. It features columns/poles with kimono patterns inside creating a magical and mystical atmosphere around the station. There is also a mini footbath space available for a minimal fee, if you want to soak your tired feet and relax for a while. Open until 6pm if you're interested.

Went during the day and total let down. Do NOT recommend going. It is just a random alley with some lanterns. If you were to go during the evening or night it might be pretty but during the day it is not even worth slowing for a photo.

Don’t go during the day. It was quite a let down, and while there are some pretty colors, the columns were not worth visiting at all. I happened to be taking a train from the area, so I checked them out, but wouldn’t have purposely gone out of my way during the sunlight hours. I’m sure during night they are fun, but the area is very small, and not a lot to see. When I was there during the day, a couple groups took up the whole space taking photos, so it isn’t an easy spot to enjoy.
