Osaru-no-yama

Ropeway runs every 30 minutes so your time at the top is a minimum of 30 minutes and if you haven't finished exploring you will have to decide whether to head back down or not. There is a viewing platform, a shrine and the main attraction the monkeys which you can buy food to hand to them with a feeding device (spoon on a stick 😜) careful thought as they do assert dominance in order to get more food for the strong so if you are with a friend you can lire the bigger ones in order to feed the babies if you are keen.

The ropeway was a lovely experience. It's a bit tricky to get to by car, but not difficult.

The ticket selling for the ropeway is smooth, but the facility for lining up is not prepared yet for the number of people visiting. There is a chance that you need to fall in line under the sun. The cable car ride is amazing, except for the tinted glass of the car itself. On the top, there are food stalls, and a view deck for the mountains and plains beyond. There's also a mini zoo for the monkeys, and you can hike to the top of the mountain itself which takes about an hour roundtrip.

Nice place to visit with good views over the valley. You can see some monkeys there as well. Beware of bears sign but no bears on the trails when we visited.
