A tiered waterfall with a drop of 40m that flows into Oriaizawa. The highlight is the pontoon that jumps out horizontally. This is a unique waterfall that cannot be seen anywhere else. It's about 2.4km from the trailhead along the road to the waterfall, and takes about 40 to 50 minutes. The area from the start of the climb is unpaved, and when I visited there was a sign at the entrance saying it was closed, so I started from the road. It is possible to climb the mountain by car, but the condition of the road gradually deteriorates. 1.1km from the start, about 15 minutes, in front of the wooden sign. If you continue along the mountain trail from here, you will be in front of the waterfall. The sign says there is 1.1km left, but according to actual measurements, it is 1.3km and takes about 30 minutes. The trail up to the waterfall is clear and generally easy to walk. I don't think you will get lost as there are many landmarks. There is a stream crossing, but there are ropes installed at the points. You can go to the entrance of the waterfall, but at your own risk. Wear clothes that are easy to move in. Sneakers are fine, but light hiking shoes are best. Parking space available. You can park one car if you approach the entrance. If the road is not closed, you can park near the wooden sign, but please note that only a limited number of vehicles can climb the dirt slope.

There is an entrance to Nanaori Falls near Yomegabuchi. From there, you can drive up to Oraisawa, so if you are not looking for mountain climbing, we recommend starting here. The sign says 1.1km, but it actually feels like 2-3km. It is a well-organized waterfall compared to other Hyonguri waterfalls.

1.1km far This is not an ordinary 1.1km mountain road with a steep slope. It usually took more than 30 minutes. The bear's claw marks were clearly carved into the large tree. If you are unlucky, there is a high risk of running into a bear.

There is no road at the location indicated by Google Maps, but there is a one-car-wide road a little closer to the entrance (from the dam) that is marked as an entrance. I entered from there. There was a road closure sign along the way, so I left the car there, but it's still safe to continue. You can park several cars and make U-turns. The road is narrow along the way, making it difficult to separate. You can go to the 1.1km signboard for Nanaori Falls. It's a walk from there, but I don't think you'll be able to go unless you're wearing at least sneakers. On the way, my wife crosses the river at the edge (according to a sign that is about to disappear), and from there on I climb up and down a narrow path on the slope of the stream. It was an incredible distance, 1.1km.

A truly unexplored region! 4WD is required as you will be entering an unpaved mountain road. There are almost no passing points, so it is not recommended for people who are not used to mountain roads. I gave up with 1km left on the way.
