The place was very beautiful especially during the sunset. The drive to this place was quite fun along the mountain.

2024.07.29 This is my 7th solo solo trip in Michinoku this year, and 15 times last year at the same time, so I'm given a double score. It can't be helped because this year, which is also the year of my silver wedding, I decided to take two family and couple trips in the first half of the year, which I had inspired myself to do. Now, let's go back to normal and finally go back to the cycle of traveling alone. This time, our destination was Hijiori Onsen, which was our second visit. We had also visited the hot spring in January last year and had a good impression of it.In the afternoon, we heard the energetic voices of elementary school students coming home from school. It is also a hot spring town. Due to recent heavy rains, some sections of the route heading towards Hijiori were closed to traffic, making it necessary to take a detour. This time, we will take a detour to the ``Shikamura Rice Terraces.'' Actually, I had decided to stop by even if I didn't have to take a detour. As the sky continues to be cloudy from morning to noon, the sun peeks through the clouds about 20 to 30 minutes before we arrive at our destination. As I drove forward, hoping, "Hold it!", the skies returned to cloudy skies... Still, it is not uncommon to see spectacular rice terraces and rice fields growing there, and the ears of rice are just a short 10-second walk from the house. However, this scene is completely incomparable. It's a breathtaking view of the rice terraces, which have no order in their shape, and the sound of nightingales chirping. Just when I thought I had the luxury of enjoying the spectacular view all to myself from the empty hill, there was actually a customer ahead of me...

I went to one of the rice terraces in the four villages collectively known as Taki no Sawa, Numa no Dai, Hirabayashi, and Toyomaki. The air is delicious and the view from the high place is good. The four villages have a total of 1900 rice terraces, 120 hectares. When I visited, the rice fields were still being raised, so from now on, the rice fields would be watered and the seedlings would be planted. That's probably the best time to see them, and autumn is the country of Mizuho. The view of the golden terraced rice fields as the ears of rice bow their heads. I guess. I took a little walk around, but there were a lot of bracken and demon springs this time of year.

There are several signs, and if you miss one, you might end up wandering down a narrow path, so I thought I'd have to wait until I got to the highlight. Fortunately, I was able to obtain a rice terrace guide map, and following it, I was able to get there easily. There seem to be multiple viewing spots.
