Beautiful in Autumn and Spring and early summer too. In the Autumn the leaf colours are amazing, lots of reds and oranges. In spring there are cherry blossoms and in early summer there are various flowers. No playground but the hills, steps and hidden dens are fun for kids. There are vending machines dispensing drinks down steps on the side of route 212. Free parking. You can enter from the Peace Museum gardens and Shoboji car park also.

Monomiyama Park is a park located on the hill near the summit of Mt.Monomi (135m). The origin of the mountain is said to be because Tamuramaro saw things on this mountain when he went to exterminate evil dragons. From the parking lot of Mt. Monomi, you can reach the mountaintop within a 5-minute walk. The top of the mountain is a plaza with only a pavilion. However, when I looked down, I could see a nice view of Hiki Hills. There are many trails in the park that branch off, but as long as you don't go in opposite directions, it seems like you'll end up at the same destination. A little further from the summit is the Saitama Peace Museum (Saitama Prefectural Peace Museum). Materials related to war and peace are exhibited here. I climbed the observation tower of the museum, and the view from there was also nice.

There are buses from Fukushima Station, so you can go there without a car. There is also a parking lot. Good access is best. The mountain is easy to walk on dirt roads, so even people with weak legs who can't walk on regular hiking trails can easily climb the mountain by holding trekking poles with both hands. There are also toilets available. When the Japanese peach, forsythia, and cherry blossoms bloom, the whole mountain is in full bloom. However, the cherry blossoms here are Higanzakura, so they bloom early. Be careful when looking at sites with flowering information that are based on Someiyoshino.
