Rairaikyo Gorge

The gorge is very scenic and picturesque. There is a soild fenced trail along the gorge, too. We walked 2 miles of it, but the trail itself is probably longer. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in town!

It is really hidden under a nondescript bridge. There’s parking nearby but you have to be inventive to park off the Main Street. We used the cafe near it and the cafe itself was very good.

This is a marvelous and magnificent place if you are visiting in Autumn. It will take at least 1 hour to complete the hiking along the way(up and down streams). PLEASE BE CAREFUL with the train and bus schedule if you start from Sendai. 🕛 November early 2020 📸narthana_sathsara

Nice place to visit especially if you have nothing to do and wanted to travel around. Good local food nearby, nice trails along the gorge.

Summer is being summer but the overall nature vibe is phenomenal. You could feel the calmness and whispers from the forest. I am starting to wonder how it would be in winter.
