I took the prefectural road Hatori-Yabuki Line from the direction of Hatori, but the road was narrow, had 5-6 hairpin curves, and wound along cliffs that were prone to falling rocks, so it was quite a tiring journey.
Park at the Hijirigaiwa Visitor Center and walk along the gentle promenade in 7-8 minutes.
There are many springs that lick the rocks along the way, making it refreshingly moist and cool.
But be careful of vipers.
Since it was the time when the dam was releasing water, the waterfall was not only a roaring waterfall and a mist shower, it was like rain, and the amount of water was so great that it made me feel dizzy. It's the perfect place to cool off in these days of intense heat.
2023/7/15 The weather is cloudy after rain. It rained from early morning on this day, and was there water discharge from Lake Hatori? Daishin Fudo Falls was impressive due to the large amount of water.
2022/11/6 I went in the midst of autumn leaves. The silver carpet and autumn leaves that I saw on the way to Daishin Fudo Falls were so beautiful. On a sunny day, the light reflected on the plant called ``Haiinukaya'' gave it a silvery appearance. Please try to find it too lol
2022/7/17 I went the day after it rained. It was a horizontally long waterfall with a large amount of water, so it was very impressive.
To access Daishin Fudo Falls, we went down from Lake Hatori, but the road is narrow and there is little space for retreating, so please be careful when passing each other. Park your car at the second parking lot and walk for about 10 minutes. The path is well maintained so it is very easy to walk.
I think it's easy to access because it's a paved road.
There is a visitor center, a campground, and ample parking space. There is a smoking area behind the visitor center, on the river side, so even smokers can use it with peace of mind.
Masu Falls is right near the visitor center, and Daishin Fudo Falls is a few minutes downstream from there.

On June 25, 2022, I visited again to escape the excessive heat. No, it's cool! I have been fully exposed to negative ions. It might be more fun if you come dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting a little wet.
From the busy farming season to the summer, the waterfall showers viewers with huge amounts of negative ions with a violent amount of water, or rather, it is so powerful that if you are right in front of it, you will be drenched in the blink of an eye.
Looking for some cool air? Then this is the place.
I think it's easier to access from the east than from the west towards Lake Hatori.
There is a parking lot and the entrance to the promenade at the Hijirigaiwa Furusato no Mori Visitor Center.
The trail is gentle and comfortable to the waterfall.
Although it is a waterfall on the Kumadogawa River, water from Lake Hatori flows into it.
Agricultural water is released from the busy farming season until September, and there was a scary amount of water. Regardless of whether it's in its natural state or not, it's impressive, like a mini-Niagara. It's amazing.
During periods when there is no water discharge, the amount of water seems to drop considerably.
There is a period for water release. The status of the discharge is posted on the website of the Hijirigaiwa Furusato no Mori Visitor Center, which serves as the entrance.
I think it would be a good idea to check the website or call them directly before visiting.
On the other hand, if you are looking to cross the river, other times than this seem to be suitable. In autumn, it transforms into a moist impression.
The road itself is closed during the winter.
It's a bit too wide for the camera to fit. The viewing platform is right in front of the waterfall. It was impressive.
Personally, I love seeing the abundant amount of water flowing through the curved rivers along the way, and I often visit for this purpose.
I visited during the fresh green season before Golden Week, and the water level was low and I was able to see a quiet waterfall.
You can also walk along the promenade while looking at the Nametoko River, giving you a refreshing feeling.
By the way, the road beyond the visitor center was closed, so I couldn't get past Lake Hatori.
