Wakayama Marina City

We came visiting with our boats. Pretty place, but absolutely nothing else. First of all, the Hotel didn't know anything about the marina, and the marina couldn't explain where the main office was, while talking on the phone. The procedure for visiting is poorly explained on their website, and poorly marked in the marina. Also there are no shopping possibilities around the marina. The closest convenient store was a 30 min walk further north.

Just for tuna cutting show and eating fresh sashimi with reasonable price. Theme park is quite old and suitable for family with kids

They close at a very early time like around 4-5 pm. You have to come ASAP. There are buses but it takes very long time to get there so it is better if you drive.

We didn't go into the theme park. We just went to the fish market and there was tons of options to choose from to eat or take home. Cool. Place to hang out outside and Cook your food at your table over a built-in hibachi grill.

Wakayama’s Marina City is a seafood market a playground for kids and adults alike. Greeted with condominiums and plenty of yachts by the harbor. You’ll find Porto Europa, a theme park made to look like a Mediterranean coastal town. Entrance to the theme park is free but you need to pay for rides. There’s also a helpful English-speaking receptionist by the entrance who assisted you with bus schedules back to the city.
