The monorail is new. It seats 8 people, and one person is the driver and guide. They will also guide you through the limestone cave with explanations. Pay the monorail fare at the monorail. 400 yen going, 200 yen returning It looks like you can walk up to the top, but it's quite a distance to the top. Once you arrive at the monorail, pay the limestone cave fee. 450 yen It's extremely small and low inside (you'll hit your head. You must wear a helmet. They will lend you one.), so I think it's better not to bring any luggage with you. Parking lot is 500 yen per hour. You can get as much water as you like for the parking fee. There is a faucet right behind the parking lot.

It was interesting because it included the fun of climbing up to the limestone cave by trolley. It's exciting to see a trolley climbing up a 60 degree cliff. The surrounding scenery makes you feel as if you have wandered into the world of Ghibli. Entering the cave wearing a helmet is like being on an expedition. This is a rare cave where you can touch a limestone cave as you progress. Although it was short, the guide's explanations were interesting and I had a great time. Parking is 500 yen, but you can drink as much delicious spring water as you like for free. There was a faucet behind each stop, and everyone was putting water into several plastic bottles and taking them home. We ate warabi mochi at a tea shop in the parking lot while taking a restroom break and waiting for the trolley. Probably because it was made with fresh water, it was cold and delicious. Trolley one-way 400 yen, round trip 600 yen Adults pay 450 yen at the limestone cave entrance. I think it was 200 yen for elementary school students. By the way, it takes less than 5 minutes to ride the trolley, but it takes 15 minutes to walk along the mountain path, so if you can walk, you can just go into the limestone cave.

Godamatsu Limestone Cave I went on Friday, August 16th at around 10:10. The weather is light rain. Parking fee: 500 yen Monorail for 1 person: 400 yen Return per person: 200 yen Cave entrance fee per adult: 450 yen The monorail operating hours in the photo are only in the morning section, and the afternoon section after 13:30 was hidden so I couldn't take a photo🙏🏻 When I parked in the parking lot of Gorogoro Chaya, both the ticket and boarding area were right in front of me! However, the earliest I could reserve the monorail was 11:15, so I decided to head down the mountain and visit the shops, even though I had a bit of a wait. (Tickets must be purchased on-site; reservations cannot be made in advance by phone or online.) I thought about parking my car again at the bottom of the mountain (near the shops), but the parking fee would have doubled, so I decided to walk there for about 20 minutes! But then, I was asked to be at the boarding point 10 minutes early, so I spent most of my time getting there, so I just bought salt-grilled sweetfish and hurried back, just in time. lol If you want to tour slowly, I recommend moving your car or reserving a later time! Go to the platform 10 minutes early, leave your umbrella, rent a helmet, and board the monorail! I rode last, and when I looked behind me, I saw a steep slope spreading out, which was thrilling😁 It was raining lightly when I got on the monorail, but I climbed through it, and once I got to the top, I paid the entrance fee and took my luggage. will be kept. The road is steep, so I think it's better to leave it behind! We entered the cave as a group with the guide and the people who rode the monorail together. It's very narrow, and you have to crouch down and walk on unstable footing, so I made sure to wear clothes that were easy to move in. Is it cold inside the limestone cave? I was worried, but it was just cool with short sleeves on! We left in about 15 minutes and went into a limestone cave to take shelter from the rain until the monorail came to pick us up. I was told that I could use an umbrella on the monorail, so they lent me one and I carried it on my way home. It was a really steep slope and I had to do my best to support my body lol This is a highly recommended place 🙌🏻

If you go to Godai Matsu Limestone Cave, you should definitely ride the monorail! This is a small attraction before going to the limestone cave. You can enjoy limestone cave + monorail 👍 The sound is so loud that I can't enjoy a conversation with my fellow passengers... There is also a Ghibli-esque atmosphere along the way. A tour of the limestone caves will be provided with commentary from a guide. I won't go into details because it would be a spoiler, but it makes me feel that the Earth is amazing. It's very cool inside and comfortable in summer! There is no paving for sightseeing, so it may be difficult for people with weak legs. You touch the natural limestone, but it contains lime, so your hands will be white when you touch it 🖐️

Came to the store at 10:30 on the 16th for Obon. The wait for the trolley was already about 3 hours. So I gave up and went up on foot. Is it difficult for those who are not physically fit? The limestone cave is 450 yen. They lent me a helmet. Comes with a guide. There were some restrictions on the number of people. Our guide, an old man, was really nice. It's really like a limestone cave, but it's an old man's cave. Full marks for the guide!
