It's a nice, quiet street with old-fashioned white walls. The width is just right for taking a walk. There are shops where you can also tour the sake brewery.

Sake Brewery Street in Hizen Hamashuku is an area that developed from the Edo period to the Showa period, centering around the brewing industry of sake and soy sauce. Currently, three breweries continue to produce sake: Fukuchiyo Sake Brewery, Kobu Sake Brewery, and Minematsu Sake Brewery (Hizenya), and it is commonly known as ``Sake Brewery Street''. Free tastings and purchases of sake, sake brewery sweets, sake brewery tours, etc. are popular, and tourists from Japan and abroad visit. It is also known for its beautiful old-fashioned white-walled buildings and is a popular spot for taking photos. In spring, an event called ``Sake Brewery Tourism (Hizen Hamashuku Flower and Sake Festival)'' is held, which attracts over 80,000 visitors from all over the country. Sake Brewery Street in Hizen Hamajuku, along with the nearby ``Hizen Hamashuku Thatched Townscape'', has been selected as a nationally important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings as an area of historical value. Please enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious drinks!

Although it was a public holiday, there were not many people on the streets. Although it felt lonely, I was able to take photos of the building without worrying about people. You can go around it in about an hour. Many of the shops were empty. I wanted to buy sake lees, but the store with the sake lees flyer posted seemed to be closed. The townscape was tasteful, typical of a sake brewing town, and had clean water flowing through it. You can take a walk while listening to the sound of flowing water.

I visited on a public holiday, and there weren't many people, so I was able to take a leisurely stroll. Although there weren't many empty shops, I was very satisfied with the quaint streetscape. Sakakura Street is about 2-300 meters long, so it's not that long. There seemed to be several sake breweries, but there was only one store that sold products to tourists. There were other cafes and restaurants, but not many. It's more like enjoying the cityscape than just walking around the shops. There was a parking lot where you could park for free. It can only park about 5 cars, but there weren't many people so it was empty.

I went to Golden Week, but everywhere was closed and it was so quiet (>people<;) Next time, I'd like to go when it's lively. There is a 10 yen UFO catcher which is interesting.
