Great local attraction. Very interesting not only for kids but for adults as well. Nicely designed, perfect combination of modern technology, ancient fairytales, town history and traditional architecture. The story isn’t too long. Just stop for 4–5 minutes before you continue to explore the town. It will give you nice mood and connect you with the spirit of Mimasaka town and Yunogo Onsen.

Ennin and Miyamoto Musashi, who are related to Yunogo Onsen (I wasn't sure about his relationship with Musashi, perhaps because he was said to have been born in Mimasaka?), and Sanbutaro, who appears in the legends of this area, appear. Masu. It starts at 0:00 every hour from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and takes about 4 minutes. An interesting one is Sanbutaro, a big man who can walk to Kyoto in 3 steps, and who takes rocks from his lunch box and stacks them on top of each other (this pile of rocks is Kasane Rock, which is located at the west end of town). It has a sense of scale. He's a huge figure, and what's even more interesting is that he gets jealous of a woman and gets poisoned with a poisonous needle, which causes his body to explode (lol). It's said that each part of his body is enshrined in different places. It's a very interesting and interesting legend. I don't think it's worth going out of your way to see the Karakuri Clock itself, just when the timing is right, but Sanbutaro was quite surreal and funny ☺️

You can watch it once every hour. After stopping by the Yunogo Tourist Information Center, I parked my car and went to see it. I was watching it while sitting on a bench, but the audio was so low that it was hard to hear from the bench! It might be better to listen directly below to hear the audio clearly!

It's good to see it once. There are many other tourist facilities in this hot spring town, so I'll just stop by here.

Before going to my accommodation in Yunogo, I saw a mechanical clock. There is no parking lot, so I have no choice but to rent a car at a nearby Lawson or kindergarten parking lot. The karakuri clock itself was soothing.
