Scenic view of toriis and the ocean. Some traffic during Golden week holidays. It was very windy on the day we visited. Small note: The red paint could be a little bit more neater!!

This is my favorite shrine around Japan! The view here is amazing! The day I went was super windy and the sun just came out after rain. So the color combination was amazing! I drove there. The road leading up there is narrow and windy. Entering the shrine is free and parking was ¥500 for 1 hour.

A seaside shrine where you can see unique Japanese scenery. I knew it wasn't far from Shimonoseki, but the road was longer than I thought and the road near the shrine was narrow and not good for driving. Even if you are passing through another city, there is no need to come from Kokura or Shimonoseki just to see this shrine. On the Friday we visited, there weren't many people, so we were able to park in the first parking lot in front of the shrine, but on crowded days, you have to park in the second parking lot and walk quite a bit downhill.

Beautiful shrine. The drive from Shinyamaguchi is really beautiful. Parking places are right at the shrine. The Torii arrangement is really nice, by the sea. Nice photo ops. There was a souvenir shop at parking. Very kind ladies running the shop. We needed hot water for baby milk and they immediately arranged it. Thank you so much!

Photogenic location in Yamaguchi. Visited this place at 4:30pm (close at 5pm) and that was very comfortable to walk around. No wait for parking, walking, and praying.
