A nice walk around the lake and through the forest-like areas. Had a spot of lunch from my backpack in the quiet area overlooking the lake and a chance to watch gardeners trimming the cycads. Nice touch to provide insect repellant in the forest walk. Needed! The main waterfall was out of operation due to water shortage. Strange. But a smaller waterfall was operating.

Such a peaceful park. I went late February and some of the trees and flowers were not as full yet, so it’s probably best to go in spring time. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful place. Watching and listening to the waterfall can be so soothing. So affordable too! Without any discount from tour packages, it’s ¥300/adult. Really not bad for such a nice, well-kept place. Restrooms are very clean, too!

A nice break from the bustle of the city, this park is peaceful and beautiful. With a range of different plants and flowers, and koi in the pond, it’s a great place to take some nice pictures. Also the price is very reasonable, and I would recommend getting the joint ticket with the art museum, which is also well worth a visit.

Fabulous park near the centre of Nagoya, be careful of the parking as it's very limited and expensive, entrance isn't free around ¥300 per adult, limited access to some of the park if you are in a wheelchair or have a stroller, however as you can see in the Autumn is full of colour and a fantastic place to have a stroll around there is only one food stall selling traditional sweet and drinks. I went with my family and two babies, in a twin stroller, space was limited with the amount of people there, there is a disabled toilet but we never used it for changing. But I would recommend it on a quieter day!
