Perfect place to visit after the bamboo forest. The walk is uphill, but not too bad. In my opinion, It is definitely worth the walk as the view at the observation deck is phenomenal. I would definitely recommend to visit the observation deck in addition to the bamboo forest.

A beautiful viewpoint not far from the bamboo forest. This was far more impressive than the bamboo!! Would highly recommend visiting here if you are in the area.

The Mog Champ sends his regards. The observation deck here is certainly a nice short stop you can make when you're done with a bigger sightseeing spot like the bamboo forest, not a lot of people would come here but I think it's worth a visit! You can have a short break around 10-15 minutes and just enjoy the view and move on. There's places you can sit and it's certainly a bit more peaceful and quiet than more dense locations packed with tourists! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ

Wonderful view here with the river between the two hills. You have to take the stairs to get here but it was worth it. After walking the riverside, there was a stairs that went to Arashiyama observation deck, just take it and feel the fresh air because in the end you will see a stunning view If you want to see much more autumn leaves, come at mid until late November. Because when I got here at November 7th, it still green with a touch of reddish/yellowish in some spot
