Very small uninhabitted island called Eboshiiwa or Ubashima (姥島). The tallest point is 20 m high. There are multiple islets around, depending on the tide, sized approximately 400 m x 600 m. The main rock looks like shark's fin from the coast and it's composed of sandstone. The parts of the rocks which get submerged with the ocean during tides have masses of barnacles attached to them. Tidal pools have sea urchins, various kinds of sea weed and anemones. There are birds of prey resting at the top of the rock (kites). Seagulls in groups were also visible. The water is extremely clear, and there is a reef around the island. Very pleasing view. The island can be accessed from Southern Beach by a SUP board. It's about 1.2 km away. Paddling from Hiratsuka takes about 2 hours.

Eboshi Rock (Ubashima) is a group of rocks located approximately 1,200 meters off the coast of Chigasaki, extending approximately 600 meters from east to west and approximately 400 meters from north to south. The shape of the tallest rock, 20 meters high, resembles an eboshi, so it is called Eboshi Rock. It is said that before the Pacific War, the tip of the rock was longer than it is now, resembling an eboshi, but after the war it was targeted for target practice by American troops stationed in the United States and was chipped away by bullets, resulting in its current shape. It seems to have taken shape. It is a symbol of Chigasaki City, and the mascot character of Chigasaki City is Eboshimaro-kun, who wears an eboshi. It is a rock that is loved by many Chigasaki residents. The area around the reef is a fishing ground with lots of fish, and is also a popular spot for rock fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving. You can go to Eboshi Rock by ferry from Chigasaki Fishing Port, but you can also often see people visiting by SUP, kayak, personal watercraft, etc.

An event where you go around Eboshi Rock on an old fishing boat? I went there, but the sea was deeper than I expected and it was raining, so I got seasick. I thought it was okay to just look at it from a distance. Apparently they are doing shrimp farming (unconfirmed information ← people who don't look into it because it's too much trouble)
