I often stop by for a break on my way to and from Niimimen. In the summer, the clear stream and waterfall are cool, and in the fall, the waterfall stands out against the autumn leaves. The parking lot is spacious and the restrooms are clean.

This is a famous giant limestone cave located in Okayama Prefecture. I visited during the hot summer season, but the inside of the cave was as cool as if an air conditioner was running. The tour course is about 1,200 meters long, and if you take your time, it will take about 40 to 50 minutes, but you will be overwhelmed by the magnificent scenery and colorful illumination inside the cave, and it is very worth seeing. The height difference inside the cave is approximately 90 meters and there are many stairs, so it may be difficult for people with weak legs. It's within walking distance from the station and has a large parking lot, so you won't have any trouble accessing it. There are restaurants along the way from the parking lot to the cave, but there are not many restaurants, so it gets very crowded during peak lunch hours. If you have a chance to go to Okayama, I recommend it ^^

Okayama limestone cave The waterfall is sluggish due to the intense heat. It's spectacular if you go after the rain

It's on the way to Ikura-do, a 5-minute walk from the parking lot. The river flows very gently and you can hear the sound of the waterfall, making it very peaceful. I feel refreshed

◎Waterfall at the entrance of Ikura Cave It will get you in the mood for cave exploration. ◎By the way ・This waterfall is an artificial waterfall to drain water from Ikura Cave. ・It matches well with the landscape and is so beautiful that it is difficult to believe that it is man-made.
