Shigabo Forest Park

Shigabo Forest Park boasts a fantastic view of the Hirosaki area from atop a small mountain. Mt. Iwaki is highly visible on a clear day. The park has a network of trails winding through peaceful forest and several lookout areas where you can rest and take photographs. Seasonal restroom facilities are available near the parking lot. Bear warnings are in effect, so use due caution when hiking.

This observation deck offers a panoramic view of Hirosaki City and surrounding cities with Mt. Iwaki in the background. It may be best when the air is clear and sunny. Perhaps because it is a night view spot, there were more people at night than when I visited during the day. The road to get here is quite steep. You should be more careful going down than going up.
