Nice place where shrines and forest around makes you feel really relaxed: just walking and sightseeing in quite place (even though there were really many people) makes you feel really comfortable. Nice pond with fish (really huge for a small pond, like 50-100cm in average) and some kind of harmony with nature makes you wanna visit it again. Huge trees (like more than 1m in diameter) are also looking amazing there. On the other side, the market street right next to the shrine makes it an amazing place for tourists (especially considering it’s free to enter). The only con I’ve noticed for myself is that it would be nice to have a bit more benches to take some break, as I’m from that kind of people who can’t walk straight the whole hour without taking a break.

The most sacred shrine in Japan. There are more beautiful shrines, but this one felt very unique. It is immersed in the nature around it. It's about 25 one way from Nagoya but worth a day trip.

I visited here for the first time in my life. Ise Jingu, officially 'Jingu', includes around 125 shinto shrines, centered around Kotaijingu. The shrine dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami and Toyo'uke-daijingu and dedicated to Toyo'uke-no-Omikami. Here is the very famous and very popular Shint shrine, so better go there early in the morning to avoid congestions.

This is THE Shinto shrine to go to in Japan, the Ise Jingu grand shrine. It's separate from the Outer shrine and is the much larger and more visited of the two. Parking is crazy. It gets confusing. We ended up going to lots A1 and A2 which were paid lots. The shrine itself is quite beautiful. The connection to nature is there, though we went during golden week and the electricity of all the visitors made it hard to feel the tranquil energy of the surrounds. While there were tons of people, lines moved fast when waiting to pray or to get your omomori. It's overwhelming at times, but you can find small spaces to take in nature quietly.

One of the must visit shrine in Japan worshipping the ancestral god of the royal family of Japan. The proper visiting sequence will be visiting Toyouke Daijingu (outer) before the Kotaijingu (inner). There are buses commuting between the two venues. With lots of tall and green trees under a calming and solemn atmosphere, you can enjoy a relaxing walk🌲 This power spot definitely give you a refreshing feeling ✨ Remember lower your voice in the area as a respect to the god and other visitors. The omamori selling here are of special colours and designs, don't miss them as the designs are different from those in Toyouke Daijingu~
