A very peaceful site with a trail that walks you around the forest. There are various tombs and also a cemetery dedicated to children which is located in a beautiful scenic open area of the woods. Overall I would say it was nice but I would consider it a little pricey considering the size of the site. We paid 500 yen per person. The good thing is that there are free parking spots very close to the entrance and it is enough to show them the tickets you bought when coming back. I would say that if you have an hour to space in Sentai this one might be a good alternative to consider.

Very beautiful place to visit in Sendai. Accesible directly with the Sendai Loople Bus (if you get the One-Day Pass you get an entrance fee discount), or through subway + a little walk. This time, I visited at night for an event they had during Tanabata.

By far one of the most expensive ¥570 cultural destinations I've been to in Japan without much cultural value at all since it is a post-war reproduction. The other reviews call it out as being small. Doesn't appear worth it. Way overpriced when similar destinations are like 200¥. The grounds are nice and there's a trail that is going around the facilities but the trail was closed, anyway.

Another great sight to visit in Sendai. Zuihōden Temple is just in the middle of nature. You have to buy tickets though. It's only 570yen. It's reasonable enough for me.

Very peaceful area with lovely stone walking paths between the historical shrines and burial mausoleum of Date Masamune and his relatives. Lovely photo opportunities of memorials as well nature. Walked up from Sendai Station and was an easy 25 minutes. Lots of others caught the public bus up to the foot of the hill. There is parking Iot if you wish to drive. Cafes around the place for coffee and refreshments. Entry was very reasonable, about 600 yen from memory for entry ticket. Lovely big trees and beautifully looked after shrines. Lots of history about Date and his family. Well worth a visit.
