Worth a visit as long not expensive only 500 yen. They will be replacing part of bridge floor to glass ceiling in December. This should make it even more speculator looking down when crossing the bridge. If you are fear of heights you may not feel at ease especially on a windy day

Worth visiting. I stopped by on my way from Mt. Aso to Yufuin. It was hard to decide whether to go or not because I had to turn around quite a bit to see this bridge, but I think I did well to go and see it. It was especially nice to be able to see two waterfalls from the bridge that cannot be seen in other seasons after the rain. They say there is one more baby waterfall, but this time it wasn't visible. There were narrow but transparent floors here and there, and I got goosebumps because I could feel the height of over 170m. I was able to enjoy a wonderful view from the bridge. Large buses come by and just look at the bridge from the entrance before heading back, but if you come this far, I recommend paying an entrance fee of about 500 yen and crossing the bridge. It's worth it.

Amazing views of the gorge and what a thrilling experience. Was able to feel the strong winds during my time there. The bridge also has numerous information signs to educate visitors about the surrounding views. There is also ample of parking spaces for those who drive (would recommend driving)

This bridge has a very commanding view of the valley below. From the bridge, you would also get to see 2 waterfalls (I believe they are the Shindou waterfalls). While the view was really good, I went during winter and the wind blowing through the bridge was very very chilly. Remember to wear warmer clothes and have protective headgear to protect your ears from the wind! Also, there’s a small fee to get on the footbridge. 500 yen per adult. But for the magnificent view, it’s really worth it! After crossing the bridge to the other side, there are many vantage points where you can take a picture of the full side view of the bridge

Not too busy and no queues, beautiful views. Decently long bridge and well maintained. Toilets either end. Stick around for a little bit because the mist rolls in and out very quickly so the views change and can become clearer if you first arrive and it is too misty to see much. If you cross the bridge and walk up the steps to the viewpoint there is a little shop selling food that you must also visit! Very cheap and delicious and owned by a lovely woman.
