Nodoka! ! Leave the main road and drive along a farm road for about 1km. There are almost no people and you can hide it. The toilet was out of order and we had to use a temporary toilet.

If you go up the bank from the park parking lot, you can see Lake Shinji. You cannot go all the way to the water's edge of the lake, so you can see the reeds spreading out. There was also a bench nearby, but no roof. I went there on a weekday afternoon in mid-November, so there was no one there and it felt lonely.

On clear days, you can see Mt. Hoki Daisen and Mt. Sanbe. Of course there is free parking. The weekdays before Golden Week in 2022 were empty.

It is about 15 km from Izumo City Station, and can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car or about 1 hour by bicycle. You can also get there in just over an hour on foot from JR Shobara Station. It is also famous as a place where you can see the sunrise in Shimane Prefecture, and the light of the morning sun over Lake Shinji is a spectacular view. Also, if you are lucky, you can see the combination of the morning sun and fog, which is also a fantastic sight. You can also see water birds such as swans and ducks, and some people take walks to see them. Izumo Enmusubi Airport is also nearby, so it is possible to stay overnight near the airport. At that time, be sure to stop by Nagisa Park on the west bank of Lake Shinji and enjoy the morning sun over Lake Shinji.
