Shobugaoka Observatory

Good spot for the view of whole Kyoto City from Arashiyama. Only problem is you need taxi or car to reach there. No public transportation.

One of the observation decks on Arashiyama Takao Parkway. You can see the entire city of Kyoto, but the distance from the observatory to the city is far and the observatory is low, so you can get a good view of the city. I recommend going without having too high expectations. The road to Arashiyama Takao Parkway has many narrow roads up to the entrance (two locations), so we recommend driving safely. There are no convenience stores nearby, so we recommend purchasing any necessary drinks before entering.

Shobugaoka Daigongen is there and seems to be the god of matchmaking. There is an object to attach the love key to, but the key was out of stock.

This is an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of Kyoto city. There are events for the Bell of Happiness and the Key of Love.

The view was nice I would have been disappointed if there was no access to the observation deck. Maybe it was because it was before the season (lol)
