Maizuru Park

This place is really nice when the trees are all full, especially when the cherry blossoms bloom. Would recommend going here for cherry blossoms! Note though that during cherry blossom season, you can't go to the top of fukuoka castle ruins to see the view as they have lights in the shape of a castle there. So come back for the view next time if you're going here during the cherry blossoms.

Great weather when I visited. Sunny but cool (13°C). There was a public food fare between 27/3/2024-7/4/2024. Many varieties of food are available as well as beer as usual. Performances were scheduled as well. A big open field for a picnic or just to sit and enjoy the weather.

Day 30 March 24- Sakura are blooming although not a lot. However still can find decent trees to take some beautiful photo. The fair is big. It is a very big park, wear good shoes. And it is getting sunny! And will sweat with the walking around the park. Another 5 days or so, it should be more beautiful

Not quite a big park but all tree and flower are so beautiful. Many of blossom sakura tree during our visit and it is so beautiful. Lots of car parking with fee.

Full blossoms 5 April 24 , This year was late blooming. Perfect Scenery!!! I went there at 8:00 o’clock in the morning, so few people there. Shop did not open yet. Just 5 min. Walk from Akasaka Station.
