Absolutely unforgettable visit of this house lost in the middle of nowhere. The lady at the entrance kindly took us all around the house because she was so happy to see people.

This will be my first visit. The staff said it was built 172 years ago. Also, when a big earthquake occurs, the earthen walls will fall and it will take a long time to repair! I hope that it will continue to be preserved for future generations as a place where Date lords, the imperial family, and celebrities have stayed. The garden is also wonderful.

I went there because it was featured in the prefecture's newsletter. It's a very nice building and spacious. The garden was very beautiful with Satsuki in bloom and the pine trees and other trees were well taken care of. I would like to thank the person who guided me for the detailed explanation.

This building was built by Mr. Yoshikuni, the 13th generation of the Date family, as a place to stay when he patrolled the northern part of the country. In 1901, Mr. Shinsuke, the third generation of the Sato family, a local celebrity, bought it as a relief project for the residents of Yonetani and moved it to this location. Ta. The man at the reception will kindly guide you. There is a large free parking lot next door.

I was too close to visit, so I spent about 90 minutes leisurely walking around the building and garden, as if to warm up for microtourism. Since it was a weekday afternoon, it was reserved exclusively. It seemed like it took two days to register for admission, and I realized that although it was a magnificent building, it was a little overlooked as a tourist attraction. Admission fee: 200 yen. The interior of the mansion, along with the buildings and exhibits, was magnificent, and you could feel the spirit of the famous family of the time everywhere. It seems that the toilet and bath have been renovated, but they still have a retro feel and are very fresh. Although the administrator may not be considered a curator, he explained things thoroughly to the extent that I could understand, and the conversation was very lively. The garden is also very large and well-maintained, so I would like to visit again when the seasons change. Please be careful as the road in front of you is one-way.
