Pretty decent beach ; but all abandoned. You can tell Japan is depopulating fast, all shops are closed and no one lives here anymore. Bring an umbrella for the sun

Very beautiful scenery, you can see Mt.Fuji with beach here! Parking available for free, then need to take a walk to the beach and you will see Mt.Fuji. Toilet is also available for free. No ticket required, you can visit for free. A must visit place in Shizuoka!

The clouds can be fickle, but unless it's a grey day out, have patience and it might just pay off!! We waited for an hour with hope, after exploring 神の道 (legend says the gods look for this ancient pine to know where to disembark from their journey). And what a sight it was to see Mt Fuji tower over the bay. I can absolutely see why it's listed as one of the 3 legendary sights!! Also featuring a kitty sitting atop a rock like a god himself.

Miho no Matsubara is a breathtakingly beautiful destination in Japan that exceeded all my expectations. Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, near the iconic Mount Fuji, it offers a unique and magical experience for nature lovers. Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the majestic views of endless pine trees, stretching along a mesmerizing coastline. The sweeping landscape had an ethereal quality, which made me feel like I had stepped into a pristine painting. Walking along the sandy beach, I couldn't help but marvel at the awe-inspiring waves crashing against the rocks. The rhythmic sounds coupled with the fresh salty air provided a serene and calming experience. It was incredibly therapeutic to simply sit by the shore and observe the power and beauty of nature

My 4th visit to the Miho-no-Matsubara was back in January 2021. My 5th visit was in April 2023 where I visited the entire coastline from the pine grove all the way to the northern tip where we can also see the Miho Lighthouse. Along the entire coastline, you can catch many views of Mt. Fuji with different compositions. Even if the weather is cloudy, be patient as the offshore winds blow the clouds making Mt. Fuji visible throughout the day. Naturally, a clear day during winter is the best chance to catch clear views of Mt. Fuji. In addition, the walking trails extending all the way from the lighthouse to the the pine grove is very nice and relaxing. The nearby parking lot behind the visitor's center is free. For an even more immersive experience, I've detailed each photo location with helpful Google Maps links, along with fascinating historical information and references for further exploration over at the Pix4Japan blog post dedicated to Miho-no-Matsubara.
