This was the highlight of the area, everything is so well maintained it is like a museum (and better maintained than some I have been too). The entry fee (500yen) is well justified, and we spent 50 minutes walking around. I loved the weapons exhibits and how you can pick up a wakizashi and a pike and even try on a samurai helmet. The cafe looked great too but we wanted to save room for lunch. Clean toilets and descriptions in english as well.

Fantastic place to visit for both local and foreign tourists. Catch a glimpse of the shogun / samurai era in this traditional town. Highly recommend this place - takes around 30 minutes to see all the sights and entrance fee is Y500 per person. There are a few places to park for free, just need to search around the area. There is also a really nice Oyakudon restaurant in the middle of the stretch and a pudding shop that you can go for dessert.

If you rent a bike, you can leave your luggage for free, the rental shop is next to information centre. So many historical and interesting stuff you can see, it is worth to pay the entrance fee.

Most all samurai house hold items and arms used are displayed. The descriptions are both in Japanese and English. It's take around 30 mins to finish the self tour. Admission fee cost 500 yen per person. It's worth to study the history of Samurai in the past.
