There’s nothing much to do around Izumi. Staff in the houses were ok. But the staff in the museum seems non existent. Lol. They just asked if I already paid the entrance fee. When I showed them the receipt, they just went back to the office.

Very pretty historical residence that is worth a visit if in the area. There are also events on at certain times like kimono wearing and bull-drawn cart that give the surrounding area a historical feel and offer unique experiences for tourists and locals alike

Nice visit to a historic samurai residence. If you have your phone with you, you can listen to a minute tour of the home in English. It’s definitely worth stopping in to check it out.

It was wonderful! The Staff was absolutely friendly and translated everything with a translator. A must visit!

There are several parking lots for tourists. I wandered around the area on the way to Izumi Castle. The town area also expanded to the north of the castle area, making it feel much larger. The history museum has a model that gives you a bird's eye view of the foot of the mountain, giving you a sense of its scale. I learned a lot about the detailed history of the foothills, which I didn't have many opportunities to know.
