Uedajo Castle Ruins

Ueda castle ruin is one of heritage places around Ueda city in Nagano prefecture. The location is pretty near the main station in Ueda city about 15-20 min walking. The area is so big and it is a perfect place to spend your time with you family or friends. It also has a playground area for children. The public toilet is clean and you can find it easily because there are about 4 toilet location inside this castle ruin area.

Very interesting and informative , nice experience , educational for a castle enthusiasts like us , and also nice view from the turrets ♥️

Nice grounds and serene scenery, was nice to walk around in the afternoon. Free parking if you stay 1hr, and toilets too.

Loved the gates and the towers of this castle. The grounds are very pretty in October and the dark wood really feels different from other castles in Japan. Sanada shrine is also located directly next to the castle ruins making for a nice day trip.

A really great place to view the autumnal colours in an Historical setting.
