The garden is more than I expected. There are plenty of highlights, including the tatami room used in the Shochikubai commercial. The problem is the mosquito attacks this time of year. Insect repellent is provided, but it's best to use plenty of it beforehand. They can also bite you through your clothes or pants.

Visited in mid-November 2018. The leaves had begun to fall, but there were still plenty of beautiful autumn leaves left. There is a small parking lot near the entrance, and a large parking lot on the east side across the road. The gardens and mansion use famous stones and wood collected from all over the country, and you can feel the commitment of the founders and gardeners. There are many stone monuments with golden proverbs engraved on them, adding an accent to the miniature landscape. In addition to the garden, we were also shown around the mansion's parlor, where we were able to see the openwork carvings on the transom and the Western glass windows that date back more than 100 years. The garden had a lot more to see than I expected. Admission fee is 400 yen for adults and 200 yen for children.

This is the garden of Mitobe Sake Brewery's residence. I didn't know that a place like this existed. In a good way, it really gives you a sense of how people in the past made their fortunes. It's a place where you want to relax when the weather is nice. However, I wish the person in charge would leave me alone a little longer.

It's worth seeing, and the buildings remain as they were in the past. I think autumn is wonderful because there are many types of autumn leaves. I plan to visit again in the fall.

It is said to be the filming location for Tetsuya Watari's Shochikubai commercial. Being in a Japanese garden, it soothed my soul. The entrance fee was 400 yen.
