The aquarium is located within Hanyu Suigo Park or Hanyu Riverside Park. Hanyu Suigo park is a multi purpose park which is great for families. There are a few other things to do in the park and it is picturesque during spring and summer seasons. The highlight for families is the play equipment. This aquarium centers around exhibiting about 70 different types of freshwater fish that live in the Saitama Prefecture. The main focus is on the aquatic life from the upper stream of the Arakawa River to the region of the mouth of the river. Among the highlights are the Tokyo bitterling, Musashi ninespine stickleback, and the waterwheel plant.

It's a smaller aquarium with a limited but very great selection of local aquatic life. They also have two otters in an outside area. You can learn a lot but there's no English. The entrance fee is very reasonable. It's great for kids and there were many. After going to the aquarium you can stroll in the very big park or do some barbeque.

Had great fun with kids. Lots of parking space and wheelchair friendly. But you might have to bring your own food as there are a few vehicle food stands serving finger food that may not satisfy your hunger.

Nice aquarium, lots of different sea life, not expensive and interesting for kids. It's a reasonable size with a good variety of sea life, there's plenty to see here, it'll take about an hour if you have kids, longer if they stop and play. There's an interesting hollow aquarium that children can crawl inside of and an aquarium that is dressed to look like a TV set, good opportunities to take photos of kids. Recommended.
