Nature at its best in this summer in Akame48 water falls in Mie prefecture Very cool place with full of greenery. Need to remember the following: 1. As the name itself suggests there are 48 falls from small falls to big water falls. 2. This is a nice trekking place in summer. If you have trekking sticks carry wirh you. Not a must 3. No need to wear any other gear except nice trekking shoes 4. Its about 2 to 3 hours max with moderate walking from the entrance of the valley to the last waterfall GANKUTSU. 4. If you have limited time you can watch these major waterfalls - Fudo falls, Senju falls, Nunobiki falls, Ninai falls and Biwa falls. No need to visit the last waterfall fall named Gankutsu falls in this trekking path 5. Remember there is only one toilet room inside the complete 2 hours walking trail. This toilet room is closer to Senju water falls.

Such a tiring but fulfilling experience going to Akame with my friends. If you are stressed in life, it is a recommended place to go. Breathtaking view. 👍👍👍

We finished the hike late and the bus was no longer coming. When we tried to request a taxi with our phones the app said that we were too far from any taxis so we asked at this tourism information center for them to call a taxi for us and they were very helpful to get us back to our hotel. The building is beautiful with a view of the river and informational posters (in Japanese). I was very impressed with the kindness of everyone in Nabari.

Ninja for a few hours! Had a great time pretending I was a kid again and played ninja. The instructor was fabulous with a lot of patience and made sure I got to have as much fun as the kids.
