☆Start your walk from Hasedera Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line, cross National Route 165 at the Hatsuse intersection, cross the Yamato River to the Old Hatsuse Kaido, and beyond this is the temple town to Hasedera Temple 🚶 The streets are lined with traditional houses that remain here and there, leading to the approach to Hasedera Temple, where you can find souvenir shops selling pickles and other rest areas selling kusa mochi, all in front of Hasedera Temple. For lunch, enjoy the Miwa somen noodles and persimmon leaf sushi, which are also fun in front of the gate😄

This is Hasedera Monzen Town in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture. The approach between Hasedera Station and Hasedera Temple is lined with manju shops, Narazuke shops, restaurants, somen shops, souvenir shops, etc. There are especially many manju shops selling the famous kusa mochi. I didn't buy the manju because I wasn't that hungry, but I'm sure the freshly made one would be delicious. This time, I bought ginger Narazuke from Shirazakeya, a Narazuke shop, and it was very delicious. There aren't many people, so you can take a leisurely stroll. There are no restrooms on the approach, so we recommend the clean restrooms at the entrance of Hasedera Temple.

This is the shopping street leading to Hasedera Temple. A gentle uphill slope that continues for several hundred meters along the Hatsuse River. Old Hatsuse Kaido Continuing from Yamato Yagi Fuda no Tsuji Kintetsu Hasedera Station is located on the northern slope of the valley. If you cross the national highway at the bottom of the valley and the Hatsuse River, you will come to a T-junction. Turn right there and go straight This is the starting point for Monzenmachi. At the beginning, it doesn't feel like a shopping street, but gradually the number of shops and restaurants increases. Along the way, there is a road that turns to the left, but this is a road that leads to Hasedera Temple, not Monzenmachi. Taxis pass here Worshipers should continue straight ahead and turn left at the end of the road. It's about 300 meters from here to the Sanmon gate. This is where it gets most lively Both sides of Monzenmachi are lined with shops and restaurants with retro, old-fashioned storefronts. Cars can pass through it, but it is so narrow that it is difficult for light cars to cross each other, and many worshipers walk along it. If you are coming to visit the shrine by car, we recommend that you park early in the parking lot at the bottom of Monzenmachi and walk from there. I trust the navigation and see cars with license plates from other prefectures having trouble. Please note that it is impossible for large minivans etc. to pass through this area.

I took a walk along the approach to the popular tourist spot "Hasedera" in Sakurai City. . It is also called the temple of flowers, and it is also attractive that you can enjoy seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, peonies, hydrangeas, autumn leaves, and winter peonies. . I especially like the approach to Hasedera Temple, which I want to visit every season. There are so many delicious restaurants such as Miwa somen, persimmon leaf sushi, and kusa mochi that I want to stop by.

I visited here for the first time in 17 years. Since it was a special visit to the Great Kannon, I was able to pray and touch the feet of the eleven-faced Kanzeon Bodhisattva standing statue, which is the principal image, and I was grateful that I was able to visit. The special viewing period is from October 8th to December 11th.
